Our History
Hope for Society Development (HSD) is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded by the visionary Pastor Temesgen Geberhiwot, with the invaluable support of his dedicated friends Yared Hailemariam, Allelign Mulatie, and Saba Beyene. Established in 2021 GC, HSD was born out of a deep desire to address the dire humanitarian crisis faced by the people of Tigray due to the ongoing conflict in the region. The war in Tigray left many individuals and families in immense suffering, experiencing displacement, loss of livelihoods, and severe shortages of food, medical supplies, and basic necessities.
